This is immediately followed by the occupations of electrical systems technician, technician for metal technology and hairdresser with over 60 percent.

The success rate of positive recognition for the regulated professions is between 35 and 70 percent, except for the profession of general care and pediatric nurse, which has a low success rate of 24 percent. Furthermore, the proportion of decisions of full equivalence for the non-regulated occupation of cook is the highest at 86 percent. This is immediately followed by the occupations of elec-trician, industrial electrician, and metal technology specialist with over 70 percent.

Most applications in 2024 come from Turkey, followed by Tunisia and India. Hungary has the highest positive recognition rate in 2024 at 95 per cent, followed by Portugal and Libya at 93 per cent each. Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan also have positive recognition rates of over 90 per cent.

The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has evaluated the recognition of foreign professional qualifications in 2020. Overall, 5% more foreign vocational qualifications were recognised as fully or partially equivalent in 2020 than in the previous year.
