In 2024, Germany recognized more foreign professional qualifications than ever before – with a particularly sharp rise in recognitions from Ukraine.The BQ-Portal has played a key role in accelerating the recognition process through its comprehensive country and professional profiles. Since 2022, it has been actively expanding its contents related to Ukraine.

Furthermore, the highest rate of full equivalence was issued for the non-regulated occupation of cook, at 82 percent. This is immediately followed by the occupations of electrical systems technician, specialist for metal technology and industrial electrician with over 70 percent.
