At the heart of the BQ-Portal: the country and professional profiles
The country and professional profiles have been compiled by experts in the recognition and assessment of vocational credentials. Editors from the various institutions as well as experts from the Cologne Institute for Economic Research have worked on the country and professional profiles together with the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). The knowledge and expertise of those involved results in information of the highest quality. The profiles are continuously expanded. The information on the country and professional profiles is only available in German.

The country profiles give you an overview of vocational training systems in other countries. They include information on the structure of the educational system, its particularities as well as key facts and figures. Each profile also includes an illustration of the education and training system where you can see which level (e.g. assistant, fully qualified professional etc.) the foreign qualification corresponds to. The information on the country profiles is only available in German.
The professional profiles provide you with information on the contents and duration of foreign professional training programs, and also include translated excerpts from relevant training or further training regulations, thereby helping you to compare a foreign professional qualification to a corresponding German qualification. The information on the professional profiles is only available in German.
