The International and Specialized Placement (ZAV) is responsible for international services within the Federal Employment Agency (BA) and cooperates with numerous high-level national and international partners. Its work focuses on the immigration of skilled workers from abroad and the placement of specialized professional groups.

The ZAV serves as a central point of contact for questions related to living and working in Germany. Through its information and advisory services, it supports international professionals both before and after their arrival, helping them to integrate quickly and navigate everyday life in Germany.

In addition, the ZAV provides more in-depth guidance, including an assessment of individual labour market opportunities and information on migration-related topics such as visas, recognition of qualifications, and learning German.

The WebTutorial focuses in particular on the recognition of foreign qualifications. The first part provides an overview of living and working in Germany, covering topics such as the labour market, skills shortages, visa requirements, the social security system, as well as application and job search processes, including an introduction to available services.

The second part addresses the recognition of foreign qualification, both academic and non-academi, in greater detail. It outlines the general process and illustrates it using practical case studies.
