Syria, a non-European country, ranked first with 633 applications processed. Romania ranked second, followed by Austria. About 250 applications processed were filed by those trained each in Egypt, Russia and Ukraine.

In 2024, Germany recognized more foreign professional qualifications than ever before – with a particularly sharp rise in recognitions from Ukraine.The BQ-Portal has played a key role in accelerating the recognition process through its comprehensive country and professional profiles. Since 2022, it has been actively expanding its contents related to Ukraine.
