The International and Specialized Placement (ZAV) is responsible for international services within the Federal Employment Agency (BA). The BA works with many high-ranking domestic and international cooperation partners. The focus is on the immigration of skilled workers from abroad and the placement of special professional groups.

The ZAV is the central point of contact for all questions about working and living in Germany. With its information and advisory services, the ZAV supports foreign employees - both before and after entry - to quickly find their way around Germany and to feel welcome.

For more in-depth advice, the ZAV offers a professional estimation about your chances on the labour market and gives lots of information about migration topics like visa, recognition and learning German.

During this WebTutorial, we focus on the recognition of foreign qualifications.

The first part of the tutorial is about “Working and Living in Germany”. The content includes the German job market, skills shortage, visa, social security system, application and job search, including the presentation of our services.

In the second part of the tutorial, we will go into detail about the recognition of foreign qualifications - academic and non-academic. We will give a rough outline how the process works and illustrate it with case studies.

The registration for the web-tutorial is free of charge.
