Recognition by country 2022

As in 2021, the highest number of applications came from Bosnia and Herzegovina, followed by the Philippines, Serbia, and Syria. The Netherlands has the highest positive recognition rate in 2022 with at 94 percent, closely followed by Latvia, as well as Hungary, Switzerland, Lithuania, Austria and the Czech Republic, which also have positive recognition rates of over 90 percent.

This was more than 10 percent in each case. Thailand, Libya, Lithuania and Switzerland recorded the largest increases in positive recognition decisions. 

 

Nearly 91 percent of applications for received vocational qualifications in Uzbekistan were issued for a compensatory measure, the completion of which was still open at the end of the year under review. It is followed bei Colombia, Tunisia, Brazil and Algeria, each with approximately 60 percent. More than 30 percent of the cases on non-regulated professions from Spain, and the former Yugoslavia (the whole of Yugoslavia) were decided on the basis of partial equivalence.

In addition to the previously mentioned countries, India, Syria, the Philippines, and Kosovo saw significant increases in the number of recognition decisions. Notifications of recognition for Brazilian, Colombian, and Mexican professional qualifications also increased significantly. There were slight decreases in the number of recognition decisions, especially in China and Spain.
